Jennings to Receive NAADD Lifetime Achievement Award

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Mark Jennings, the former University of Iowa associate athletics director for donor and patron services, will receive the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award, it was announced Wednesday.

36466Jennings will receive the honor June 30 at the Learfield Directors’ Cup Luncheon, held in conjunction with the 53rd Annual NACDA & Affiliates Convention at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington D.C.
 
During his Iowa career, Jennings was responsible for generating more than $250 million from an average of 12,000 annual donors.
 
Jennings directed the annual fund, several large capital campaigns, and began Hawkeye Visions – a program aimed to tap the endowment market which made a significant impact in advancing Iowa athletics.

During his tenure at Iowa, Jennings led the planning for a $45 million Carver-Hawkeye Arena Enhancement Campaign, $53 million football operation facility and spearheaded the $100 million renovation of Kinnick Stadium.

Jennings, a 1973 Iowa graduate, has served as a member of the NAADD executive committee and was recognized in 2008 as the NAADD “Fundraiser of the Year.”
