DUBUQUE, Iowa — University of Iowa wrestlers Vince Turk, Nelson Brands, and Tony Cassiopie won titles Saturday at the Loras College Open.
Turk had three pins and won two matches by major decision to win the 141-pound backet. Brands pinned three of five opponents to win the 165-pound title. Cassioppi pinned his first three oppponents, advanced to the finals with a 10-4 decision, and defeated teammate Aaron Costello, 2-0, in the 285-pound finals.
Zach Axmear (149) and Sam Cook (197) placed runner-up at their respective weight classes.
