A new era begins for Iowa volleyball. Under second-year head coach Vicki Brown, the Hawkeyes enter the 2020 season with one of the Big Ten’s youngest coaching staffs. Brown, a Big Ten volleyball alum herself, brings grit, accountability, and tenacity to Iowa City as the Hawkeyes make their push toward the NCAA Tournament.

The Hawkeyes will fight for Iowa inside a new home in 2020 – Xtream Arena. The state-of-the-art facility brings fans closer to the action than ever before while luxury box seats provide a birds-eye view of the best collegiate volleyball in the country all in the heart of the Iowa River Landing in Coralville, Iowa.

It’s going to create a completely different atmosphere. Fans will be closer to the court and it should be a great environment. It will be a big difference for our program.’’

Head coach Vicki Brown

The new arena will be a great addition for the University of Iowa Volleyball program. With a new home, we look forward to new beginnings and new successes in the Xtream Arena. I’m very excited and honored to play in our new home.

Halle Johnston

I can’t wait to play my senior season in Xtream Arena. It will be the perfect ending to a great four years. It will be awesome to have a smaller arena that we can fill up and have a more rowdy atmosphere!

It’s time to turn the page on the past and forge a new future for Iowa volleyball.
