Alison Whitty

Alison Whitty - Women's Rowing - University of Iowa Athletics


Alison Whitty joined the Hawkeye rowing staff on July 13, 2020, after two years as a graduate assistant at the University of Louisville where she worked with both varsity and novice boats

Whitty’s rowing experience includes stops at Ridley Graduate Boat Club, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada (2009-2018), University of Miami (2012-2016) where she was a 2016 All-ACC, All-Region honoree, and team captain, Brock University Varsity Lightweight Oarswomen (September 2016-December 2016) and Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) Athlete, Victoria, BC, Canada (November 2017-May 2018).

Additionally, Whitty won the Iron Oar award and GRIT award during her senior campaign at Miami (2016) and was a Dean’s List and Provost Honor Roll honoree.

Whitty earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Miami (2016) and earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Louisville (2020).
