Hey, Minnesota! The Hawkeyes are coming!
Fans of the Hawkeyes will get a double-dose of Iowa this week when Coach Lisa Bluder’s and Coach Steve Alford’s squads visit Minneapolis for Big Ten Conference basketball games. Special events have been scheduled around each game for friends and fans of the University of Iowa. Here are the details:
Hawkeye Hoops Huddle: Women’s Basketball
A Hawkeye Hoops Huddle, co-sponsored by the National I-Club and the UI Alumni Association, will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Metrodome, 615 Washington Avenue, SE. The Radisson is approximately two blocks from Williams Arena where tipoff for the game between the Iowa women’s basketball team and Minnesota is scheduled for 2 p.m. Admission to the Hawkeye Huddle is free.

Game Day Luncheon: Men’s Basketball
A Hawkeye Game Day Luncheon will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 35 South 7th Street. Hosted by Gary Dolphin, the luncheon will include a presentation by UI Director of Athletics Bob Bowlsby. Tickets are available for just $15 and must be purchased in advance by contacting the UI Foundation at (800) 648-6973, fax at (319) 354-4155, or via e-mail at athletics-foundation@uiowa.edu. Tipoff for the game between Coach Steve Alford’s Hawkeyes and the Gophers of Minnesota is set for 6:05 p.m.
