IOWA CITY – Iowa Baseball Head Coach Jack Dahm announced today that Chicago Cubs General Manager Jim Hendry will be unable to attend the Iowa Baseball Lead-off Dinner Monday.
Hendry, who was scheduled to be the featured speaker for the first annual event, slipped on a flight of stairs and injured his left knee at his home and underwent surgery today.
Dahm is in the process of finding another speaker. An announcement of Hendry’s replacement will be made this weekend.
