Recap?|?Stats

Head Coach Lisa Bluder:
“We got beat by two excellent players tonight (Wright and Gearlds). Those two carried Purdue.”

“I thought we played a balanced offensive game, but not a balanced defensive game.”

“We carried a lot of momentum into the locker room at halftime, but we could not capitalize when we came back out. The first five minutes in the second half hurt us.”

Senior Jennie Lillis:(On Shereka Wright)
“She’s very quick and obviously we did not want her to have the ball in her hands as much as she did.”

Purdue Head Coach Kristy Curry:“I feel that Iowa is the most difficult team to defend in the Big Ten because they execute their offense so well. They played very tough tonight, but Shereka and Katie had games great for us.”

Purdue Senior Shereka Wright:
“Playing Iowa has been a difficult game for us in the past. Iowa plays very well at home, and tonight we were tested.”
