The University of Iowa softball team fell to Tennessee Tech, 1-0, in the third-place pool championship bracket. The Hawkeyes finished the Speedline with a 3-3 record.
Iowa’s overall record falls to 9-6.
The Hawkeyes will head West next weekend to begin their spring break trip in the state of California. Iowa will start in the National Invitatoinal Softball Tournament, hosted by San Jose State. The Hawkeyes will open the tournament on Friday against Washington at 5 p.m., then battle Santa Clara at 7 p.m. All times are Central.
