Hawkeyes Finish Sixth at Bruce Fossum/Taylor Made Invite

The University of Iowa men’s golf team finished sixth at the Bruce Fossum/Taylor Made Invitational. The Hawkeyes moved ahead of Ohio State and Eastern Kentucky with a final round 293.

Cade Pleggenkuhle played extremely well, moving into a tie for fourth place after shooting a season low 69 during the final round. Pleggenkuhle’s fourth place finish is the best of the spring by any Hawkeye. True freshman Jon Feldick also played well, he tied for 15th with a 224. Andy Tiedt shot a 75 today to finish tied for 21st. Bennet Hammerberg tied for 45th with a 231, his best three-round score of the year. Todd Larson moved from 61st into a tie for 53rd after shooting a final-round 75.

The Hawkeyes will travel to Ann Arbor, MI May 7-9 for the 2004 Big Ten Championships.
