The Iowa women’s tennis team lost a close match to Ohio State, 4-3, Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes advanced to the Big Ten championship match.

The Hawkeyes were unable to take the doubles point, losing two matches at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. In singles, Meg Racette defeated Lindsay Williams, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 1 spot. Anastasia Zhukova notched a win over Emily DeCamilla, 6-2, 6-2. At No. 5 singles, Deni Alexandrova topped Lindsey Adams, 7-5, 7-5.

Iowa will learn whether they will advance to the NCAA championships Wednesday, May 5.
