Within hours of Iowa’s defeat of Iowa State on Saturday, Brian and Amy Boelk gave birth to their identical twin boys: Kinnick and Carver.

“I think they were really nervous about the game, because it was so touch and go. I think they thought they had to come out to root the Hawks on for the rest of the season.”

The Iowa City couple was not expecting to deliver until Nov. 21, but the boys had a different idea.
“I think they were really nervous about the game, because it was so touch and go,” their mother said. “I think they thought they had to come out to root the Hawks on for the rest of the season.”
