Iowa-Ohio State TV Set

Oct. 4, 2004

Let the planning begin.

The Big Ten Conference announced today that the next home game for Coach Kirk Ferentz’s 2004 Iowa Hawkeyes — Saturday, Oct. 16, against nationally ranked Ohio State — will be televised live by ABC-TV beginning at 2:30 p.m. Iowa time.

A map indicating where the game can be seen will be posted on hawkeyesports.com when made available by ABC-TV and/or the Big Ten Conference.

A limited number of pairs of tickets and “singles” are available for purchase.

Iowa will be looking to notch its 16th straight home victory when the Buckeyes visit Kinnick for the first time since the 2000 season when they claimed a 38-10 victory over the Hawkeyes.

Iowa, 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten play after last Saturday’s home victory over Michigan State in this year’s Homecoming game, is idle this Saturday. The Buckeyes, 3-1 and 0-1, will be looking to rebound from their overtime loss at Northwestern when they square off against Wisconsin in Columbus.

Fans attending the Iowa-Ohio State game are invited to attend an open practice of Coach Lisa Bluder’s 2004-05 Iowa women’s basketball team. The Hawkeyes will be on the floor of Carver-Hawkeye Arena beginning at 8 am.
