Chicago, IL – The University of Iowa women’s soccer team fell to Loyola-Chicago Friday, 1-0. The Ramblers put in the winning goal with only 24 seconds left in the game.
In a defensive battle, the winning goal came at the 89:36 mark when Lindsay Faron scored an unassisted goal to give the Ramblers the win. The Hawkeyes recorded a season high 18 shots on the night. Freshman Jamie Maltman led the Hawkeyes in shots, blasting six on the night. Junior Katelyn Quinn saw action for the first time since Iowa’s opening weekend and recorded three shots. Britta Vogele recorded seven saves in the loss for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa travels to Madison, WI Sunday to face the Badgers. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
