Can’t get enough of the Iowa Hawkeyes? Well, hawkeyesports.com has news for you.
Beginning with next Tuesday’s weekly media conference featuring UI head football coach Kirk Ferentz, friends and fans of the Hawkeyes who subscribe to the College Sports Pass inside the multimedia section of hawkeyesports.com can now watch the Ferentz, Steve Alford, Lisa Bluder, and Jim Zalesky live.
hawkeyesports.com successfully tested its streaming media system earlier in the week when Alford opened the 2004-05 basketball season at the UI with opening remarks at the top of Iowa Basketball Media Day 2005.
“We’re quite pleased to be bringing this level of service to our fans. And, based on the interest in this week’s event and last year’s football signing day press event, we’re confident that we’re providing something that will prove to be very popular,” said Rick Klatt, associate athletic director for external affairs at the UI.
Fans interested in viewing the weekly media conference are required to purchase a subscription to the College Sports Pass. Once they do, however, they’ll enjoy a wide variety of audio and video content exclusively available at hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes — each edition of “Iowa Football with Kirk Ferentz” and “Iowa Basketbal with Steve Alford,” the weekly television shows of Iowa’s head football and men’s basksetball coaches; the “Iowa Football Replay Show,” the UI-produced one-hour look back at the Hawkeyes’ last game; Hawk Talk with Kirk Ferentz, Steve Alford, Lisa Bluder and Jim Zalesky, the weekly call-in radio shows of Iowa’s head coaches, and live play-by-play of Iowa football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball compliments of the Hawkeye Radio Network in addition to the daily HRN feature, “Inside Iowa.”
