Iowa quarterback Drew Tate, a sophomore from Baytown, Texas, and UI placekicker Kyle Schlicher, a sophomore from Ankeny, are among the student-ahtletes honored this week by the Big Ten Conference, league officials announced today.

Iowa opens a two-game road trip Saturday at Penn State. Illinois is up next week. Both games kick off shortly after 11 a.m. Iowa time and both will be televised live.

Iowa, 4-2 overall and 2-1 in league play following its 33-7 thumping of Ohio State last Saturday afternoon inside historic Kinnick Stadium, travels to State College, PA, this week for an 11 a.m. (Iowa time) with the Nittany Lions of Penn State. The game will be televised live by ESPN2.
