John Ferentz, father of UI Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz, passed away Sunday at age 84. Kirk Ferentz and his family traveled to Asbury Heights, Pa., Wednesday. Kirk and his son, Brian, will rejoin the Iowa football team Friday in State College, Pa., after attending the funeral for John Ferentz.
Iowa will play Penn State in PSU’s Beaver Stadium at 11 a.m. (Iowa time) Saturday.
