Hawkeyes Fall Short At Big Four

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA

The Iowa men’s golf team finished in second on Monday at the Big Four Championship. The event was hosted in Cedar Rapids, IA at Elmcrest Country Club.

The Hawkeyes were fairly consistent for all 36 holes played. They were only a mere stroke behind Drake after 18 holes, but fell seven strokes short after 36 to claim second.

Todd Larson and Andy Tiedt led Iowa with a fourth place finish. Both golfers fell short by one stroke of the leaders with a score of 142. Luke Miller was not far behind and for seventh with a score of 143. Hawkeye golfers Bennet Hammerberg (144), Jon Feldick (147), and Dan Holterhaus (151) also competed.

This was the last event for the fall season for the Hawkeyes. They will not compete again until March 26, 2005 in the Pepsi Invitational.
