Iowa will play Oklahoma in the championship game of the Lucaya Division in the 2004 Junkanoo Jam. The Hawkeyes are 1-0 all-time against the Sooners entering Saturday’s contest.

Iowa evens the all-time series against Florida (1-1) with today’s victory. The Hawkeyes also improve to 5-1 in games played on November 26.

Senior center Jamie Cavey scored a season-high 19 points (7-14 FG, 5-6 FT). Cavey is the only Hawkeye player to post double figures in scoring all three games this season.

Senior guard Jenna Armstrong tallied a season-high 11 points and grabbed a career-high five rebounds off the becnch.

Freshman forward Stacy Schlapkohl scored a season-high eight points on a perfect 4-4 shooting from the field.

Forward Krista VandeVenter led the Hawkeyes in rebounding for the third consecutive contest. VandeVenter pulled down a game-high six rebounds. The freshman leads the team in rebounding after three games (7.3).

Nine of Iowa’s 10 players that played scored two points or more.

Official Bryan Enterline has been an official for all three Iowa games so far this season (Southern Illinois, Missouri and Florida). Coincidentally, Enterline also called Florida’s season opener in Gainesville on Monday.
