Friends and fans of the University of Iowa’s smash public art hit Herky on Parade who can’t be in Iowa City on Thursday night for the big event on campus, can put their bid on 25 Herkys that will be available in the public auction by clicking HERE.
Online bidding will be instant and will carry all the benefits of being there live…except the fun of tailgating with other friends and fans of the Hawkeyes and Herky on Parade in the UI’s athletics museum.

Bidders utilizing the online option should be aware that they will be assessed a 10 percent premium if their bid is the winning bid. They should also have a credit card limit in excess of $2000.
“We have had a significant amount of interest in the Herky on Parade auction from friends and fans of the Hawkeyes who simply could not travel to Iowa City for the event. The online option should work well for these fans,” said Rick Klatt, associate athletics director for external affairs.
Proceeds from the sale of the 25 Herkys available in the Herky on Parade public auction will benefit a variety of local charitable organizations including the Children’s Hospital of Iowa and many of Johnson County’s leading arts organizations.
