Her team is off to the best start in University of Iowa women’s basketball history in more than a decade and should crack the Top 25 when this week’s polls are announced.
His team is nationally ranked, state of Iowa champions and has won eight of its first nine games in 2004-05.
Both are coming off huge victories last Friday night – the Iowa men, a thriller over intrastate rival Iowa State in the latest event in the new Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk Series and the Iowa women, an overtime win at Creighton.
Both are also going to be talking Monday night. Get in the game…give Lisa Bluder or Steve Alford a call Monday night when both take center stage for “Hawk Talk.”
Alford joins the radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Gary Dolphin, inside Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Café in Iowa City Monday at 6 p.m. They’ll talk Iowa men’s basketball for 90 minutes.
Bluder joins the radio voice of the Iowa women’s basketball program, Brent Balbinont, inside Bob’s Your Uncle in Iowa City Monday at 7:30 p.m. They’ll talk about the unbeaten Hawkeye women’s basketball team for an hour.
