The sixth-ranked Iowa men’s gymnastics team dominated 9th-ranked Minnesota, scoring a season-best 217.325 points to Minnesota’s 213.4 points Saturday evening. The Hawkeyes won four event titles, crowned three individual event champions, and broke two University of Iowa records.

Iowa junior Michael Reavis won the all-around competition and set a University of Iowa record with his six-event score of 54.4. Reavis was crowned champion on vault and set another University of Iowa record with a score of 9.7. He also took first on horizontal bar (9.35) and tied for second on floor exercise (9.65).

Hawkeye sophomore Matt Beiler was the top finisher on parallel bars, scoring a personal season-best 9.2.

As a team, Iowa set a season-high on floor exercise with a score of 37.1. Junior Michael McNamara tied for second on floor with a personal season-best score of 9.65. Matt Beiler also set a personal season-best with a score of 8.9, good enough for fourth place.

On pommel horse, Iowa freshman Curtis Kleffman and sophomore Drew Ignoto tied for second place with 9.1s. The mark was a personal season-best for Ignoto.

The Hawkeyes will host Nebraska and Wisconsin Saturday, February 26 at the UI Field House.
