Sacramento, CA – For the second straight day, heavy rain storms caused officials to cancel all games at the Capital Classic on Sunday. The tournament lost a total of 20 games over the weekend due to rain. This also marks the first time in the history of the tournament that a champion has not been declared.
The Hawkeyes will open up the 2005 home season on Wednesday when they host Illinois State in a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
