Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach - Olympic Sports

The University of Iowa is seeking qualified applicants for an assistant strength and conditioning coach for its Olympic sports.

Responsibilities: Develop and administer strength and conditioning programs for men’s and women’s athletic teams. Periodically assess general fitness performance tests; review injury records and consult with team trainers as necessary; provide a safe environment in which the athletes can train; communicate with potential student-athletes during visits to the University of Iowa campus.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required. Other required qualifications include: National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) certification; excellent knowledge of the techniques and programs necessary for a successful sport-specific strength and conditioning program; excellent organizational and administrative skills; and demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment. A minimum of two years experience working in a collegiate or professional setting is preferred.

Salary: $30,900 per year to commensurate.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month appointment; starting date is negotiable.
