One of the most respected names in sports journalism, Sports Illustrated, isn’t out of the mix. They’ve got their own lists and two of the supporting cast of Hawkeyes who will help Iowa defend its Big Ten Conference championship are included among SI’s list of the Top Ten players in this year’s Big Ten.
The fact that two Hawkeyes are among the featured shouldn’t come as a big surprise. College football teams simply don’t accomplish what Iowa has accomplished recently without having a little talent. It might also not come as too much of a surprise that SI’s No. 1 player is a Hawkeye.
