Arkansas-Little Rock raced out to an early 10-3 lead in game three, but the Hawkeyes clawed their way back into the match, eventually taking a 26-25 lead and forcing a timeout. The two teams traded points the rest of the way, each fighting off a game point serve before Iowa took the game on back-to-back blocks.
Iowa jumped out to an early lead in game four, only to have the Trojans storm back to take a commanding lead down the stretch and win 30-24 – forcing the deciding game five.
In game five, Arkansas-Little Rock led most of the way. Iowa managed to fight off a pair of match point serves before an error ended the match at 15-12.
