Q-and-A with Morgan Kasperek

You’re a huge White Sox fan, how excited were you that they won the World Series?
“The White Sox’s winning the series was great even with all the controversy. But what’s even better is that the Cub fans can’t tell me how good there team is because the White Sox are better and that’s not going to change any time soon.”

Your favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption, did that make you enjoy the team’s Alcatraz visit even more?
“I actually didn’t go with the team to Alcatraz because I have a lot of family in that area so I was able to spend Thanksgiving with them. But, I have been to Alcatraz a few times before and it’s amazing.”

If you could compete on any game show (past or present), which would it be?
“There are a few. When I was younger I wanted to be on GUTS, it was a obstacle course show, and the other one was American Gladiators. Now, I would love to be on Fear Factor because `fear is not a factor for me!'”

What was the best concert you’ve been to?
“Even though Tiffany has taken me to a few sweet country concerts, I would have to say that the Dave Matthews Band at Solider Field was my favorite.”

What song would you sing to win a karaoke contest?
“I will never win a karaoke contest because I will never do one. I guess I shouldn’t say never; only if Krista VanderVenter agrees to do a duet with me.”

Do you collect any thing? If so, what and why?
“This is kind of strange, but I save all my stubs, like after I go to a move, ride on a plane or go to an event. I have quite a collection now, and my favorite ticket stub is either one of the Bulls playoff tickets or the Bears’ first game at their new stadium.”

What is you favorite season and why?
“Winter! It’s basketball season, Christmas, football playoffs and it’s a season that you get to see your whole family the most.”

What is something few people know about you?
“I went backpacking in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia with my oldest sister, Suzy, for a month when I was in high school. I love to travel and I think that everyone should go over seas at least once. Are you excited for this summer’s World Cup? Does the US have a chance?”I’m a huge soccer fan and the best thing about soccer, if you’re an American, is that the best team doesn’t always win. So if the U.S. gets a few lucky bounces, of course we can win.”
