Got a “Hawk Room” in your house? Are you a “really big fan” of the black and gold? Looking for that “unique, one-of-a-kind item” for your den or deck or patio?
Well, why not check out what’s now available inside the UI Athletic Department’s new online auction space. This new feature of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes, includes one-of-a-kind items ranging from autographed memorabilia to 4-feet by 5-feet sections of the original west wall of historic Kinnick Stadium.
“The UI Athletic Department is thrilled to offer this opportunity to friends and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes throughout the country” said Toby Trail, Assistant Director of Marketing. “This allows fans to own a one-of-a-kind piece of Hawkeye history, including some of the most recognizable pieces from the stadium.”
Many of the items were removed from Kinnick Stadium after Iowa’s victory over Minnesota last November. Player lockers, coaches lockers, directional signage, and more is available. Other items have been collected during the last few exciting seasons of Iowa football.
Approximately 10 items will be available each week for approximately eight weeks. Click HERE to check out what’s available and all the ground rules for participation.
