The University of Iowa football schedule for the 2006 season has been finalized and released.
The Hawkeyes will play 12 games this year with the opener coming at home against Montana on Sept. 2nd. Other home games include Iowa State and Northern Illinois for non-conference foes. Big Ten home opponents include Ohio State, Purdue, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
Road opponents next season include non-conference foe Syracuse and Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota from the Big Ten. There is no bye week in 2006.
Iowa was originally scheduled to host Western Michigan in the 2006 opener. That game has been moved to Nov. 17, 2007.
