IOWA CITY – Iowa’s softball contest vs. Michigan on April 15 at Pearl Field will be broadcast to a national audience on College Sports Television (CSTV). The game is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start. In addition, the telecast can also be seen statewide on Mediacom’s Connections Channel. This is the first time in school history that a regular season home game has been televised.
The Hawkeyes upset Michigan last season in the Wolverines’ home opener, snapping their 32-game winning streak. Michigan was the top-ranked team in the country at the time. Later in the season, Michigan defeated Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament championship game en route to winning the 2005 NCAA National Championship.
The game on April 15 has also been designated “Pack the Park – Be Bold, Wear Gold” day at Pearl Field. For tickets, call 1-800 IA-HAWKS or visit www.hawkeyesports.com.
