Hawkeyes Complete Day Two At Rio Verde Invite

RIO VERDE, AZ — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is in seventh place, with a score of 624 (+56) after day two of competition at the Rio Verde Invitational. Northwestern is in first in the 17-team tournament with a score of 597 (+29).

At the end of day two, freshman Tyrette Metzendorf leads the Hawkeyes with a 152 (+10) to put her tied for ninth. Junior Amy Riepma sits at 154 (+12), to put her in a tie for 16th. Karla Murra fired a 78 and 79 (+15) and is tied at 33rd. Melanie Boyles and Jill Marcum are both in 62nd at 162 (+20).

The tournament will continue tomorrow with the final 18 holes and will be played at the White Wing Golf Course in Rio Verde, AZ.
