RIO VERDE, AZ — The University of Iowa women’s golf team completed competition today at the Rio Verde Invitational. Iowa ended up in sixth place with a score of 928 (+76) after three days of competition. Northwestern won the competition with a score of 889 (+37).
Freshman Tyrette Metzendorf placed highest for the Hawkeyes with a 225 (+12) to put her tied at seventh. Junior Amy Riepma tied for 23rd with a 231 and Karla Murra and Jill Marcum finished with a 237 to tie for 45th place.
The next competition for the Hawkeyes will take place at Pinehurst, March 12th-14th.
