IOWA CITY – University of Iowa gymnast Michael Reavis was honored as the Co-Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for the fourth time this season. The announcement came Wednesday from the Big Ten Conference office.
Reavis earned the honor after winning the all-around against fifth-ranked Illinois last weekend. His score of 55.0 was a season best. He also claimed the title on floor exercise (9.7). The native of Tallahassee, FL finished third on pommel horse (8.7), vault (9.25), parallel bars (9.4) and high bar (9.4). Reavis was also honored as Gymnast of the Week January 18, February 8 and February 15. He shared the honor with Justin Spring of Illinois.
The Hawkeyes are ranked seventh in the GymInfo rankings and travel to Minneapolis Friday to compete against 10th-ranked Minnesota.
