THIS WEEK — The Iowa men’s golf team will compete at the Furman Invitational Friday through Sunday in Greenville, SC. The three day event is hosted by Furman University at University Golf Course. The tournament field will include Virginia Tech, Marshall, Maryland, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Appalachian State, East Carolina, Elon, Davidson, Samford, Wofford, Winthrop, Charleston Southern, Francis Marion, Western Carolina and Iowa. The course is a par 72 and 6,800 yards long. Each day will consist of 18 holes.
LAST TIME OUT — The Iowa men’s golf team climbed two spots in the final round of the USA Spring Classic to finish fifth. Iowa has failed to place in the top five only once in six tournaments this season.
LARSON EARNS CONFERENCE HONOR — Junior Todd Larson earned his first career Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor after placing ninth last week at the USA Spring Classic. This was also Larson’s third top 10 finish of the season. Larson is Iowa’s first recipient of the conference honor since Luke Miller was named on Feb. 17, 2005.

We've never played at Furman University before and will be the only Big Ten team there. It is our intention to represent the Big Ten the best way we know how and that is to play to win."
