The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an Assistant Swimming Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position and includes full University benefits.

Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach in the management and coaching of a Division I Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving program. This includes but is not limited to, coordinating training programs, overseeing strength training and dryland cycles, recruiting, team travel, meet management, summer camps, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, and/or Assistant Coaches.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred.

Required qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; superior communication skills, effective organizational, administrative and public relations skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.

Preferred qualifications: Advanced competitive swimming experience and/or three years of successful Division I college/club coaching & recruiting, Hy-Tek/computer operational knowledge.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month appointment, starting date negotiable.
