IOWA CITY – Sophomore Bart van Monsjou has been named Iowa’s Big Ten sportsmanship honoree. This honor is for individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. As Iowa’s No. 1 singles player, van Monsjou ended the year 12-18 overall and 2-9 in the Big Ten.
The Hawkeyes finished their season with a loss to Penn State last week at the Big Ten Tournament. Iowa ends the year 6-14 overall and 1-10 in the Big Ten.
