The University of Iowa football team is ranked 13th in the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook preseason poll released today.
Iowa is one of four Big Ten teams ranked in the poll; Ohio State is ranked first, followed by Iowa (13), Penn State (15) and Michigan (18).
The publication also released its preseason all-Big Ten team, which includes Iowa offensive lineman Mike Jones, defensive end Kenny Iwebema, safety Marcus Paschal and place kicker Kyle Schlicher.
The Hawkeyes are ranked in three preseason publications: Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook (13), Athlon Sports (16) and Lindy’s (25).
Iowa will open its 2006 schedule Sept. 2 when it hosts Montana in Kinnick Stadium.
