The Iowa women’s basketball team will hold its annual “Media Day” next Wednesday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The event starts at 1 p.m., on the court of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and ends at 2:15 p.m.
Head Coach Lisa Bluder and the Iowa Hawkeyes invite all Hawkeye fans to the event, which is free to the public. Fans will be able to meet players and coaches and get photographs and autographs with their favorite Hawkeyes. A light snack will also be provided to those in attendance.
Iowa returns 10 experienced letterwinners, including Big Ten Freshman of the Year and second team all-conference honoree Megan Skouby and honorable mention all-league Krista VandeVenter. Lindy’s, a pre-season publication, has ranked Iowa 24th in the nation in its pre-season poll.
The Hawkeyes open their season with exhibition games against Northern State (Nov. 1) and Concordia (Nov. 6). Both games will tip-off at 6:35 p.m. inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
