Coaches, parents and student-athletes high school-ages youth basketball players, take note! Coach Steve Alford and the Iowa Hawkeyes invite you and your teammates to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the very best in college basketball action, Big Ten style!
Reserved seat tickets priced at just $10 for boys and girls high school aged and younger are available for nine games on the Hawkeyes’ 2006-07 home schedule. Iowa currently boasts a school-record 18-game winning streak in the Arena, a total that includes a perfect 17-0 record last year.
“Our home court advantage last year was significant. You don’t win 17 straight games, go undefeated in Big Ten games and beat five nationally ranked opponents without a great game-night atmosphere and, thanks to all of our, young and old, students and non-students, that’s what we had,” said UI Coach Steve Alford, whose team used the momentum gained in games played in Iowa City to capture the 2006 Big Ten Conference Tournament championship and advance to the 2006 NCAA Tournament.
Tickets for the games designated “Youth Basketball Nights” can be purchased in advance at the UI Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, over the telephone by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS or online at hawkeyesports.com. Tickets can also be purchased on game night while supplies last.
Season, split season, group and single-game tickets are also available for all 17 home games of the 2006-07 Hawkeyes.
