IOWA CITY – The UI Division of Recreational Services and the UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invite the public to participate in activities and enjoy refreshments at an open house to help celebrate the dedication of the newest west-campus facilities from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25.
The event marks the dedication of the new Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex, the rededication of the Don Klotz Outdoor Tennis Courts, and the grand opening of the new Touch the Earth Outdoor Rental Center. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will occur at 4:30 p.m. today at the complex.
The tennis and recreation complex now houses the new Fitness West, eight indoor tennis courts, and 12 outdoor tennis courts.
The Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex is located at 2820 Prairie Meadow Drive, northwest of the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame and Museum.
