Some of the top action in Iowa athletics will take place in the next two weeks and much of it ishome against Iowa State. And, there are plenty of tickets remaining for all the action.
The Hawkeye women’s basketball team will face Iowa State at 7 p.m. Thursday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The men’s basketball team will face Texas-Pan American in the opening round of the Hawkeye Challenge Friday. The Hawkeyes will face either Coppin State or LaSalle in the second round Saturday night. The Hawkeye Challenge is only a preview of a gigantic six days of action which begins Sunday.
The Hawkeye wrestlers face the Cyclones in Carver-Hawkeye Arena Sunday at 4 p.m. It’ll be a battle of nationally ranked teams as both are in the top five.
The Iowa men’s basketball team returns to action Tuesday and Friday (Dec. 8th) with home games against Northern Iowa and Iowa State, respectively. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
And finally, the Iowa women’s swimming team will hit the water against Iowa State at the Fieldhouse pool beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
The best news is that plenty of tickets remain for all the above action and they’re easy to get. Tickets to any of the events are, of course, available for in-person purchase at the Iowa Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. It is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Tickets are also available online at www.hawkesports.com or by calling 1-800-IA-HAWKS.
All four events against Iowa State will count in the Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk series. Iowa currently leads the Cy-Hawk series 5-2.
