Fry to Appear at FanFest

IOWA CITY, IA – Former University of Iowa Head Football Hayden Fry will be part of the fifth annual Iowa Football FanFest event to be staged Friday and Saturday, Mar. 2-3, at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Iowa City.

Fry, a member of the University of Iowa and College Football Hall of Fame and the winningest coach in Iowa football history, will be a panelist on Iowa Football: The Past, the Present and the Future. Fry will be joined by legendary sports broadcasters Bob Brooks and Ron Gonder, two long-time radio voices of University of Iowa football and men’s basketball

That session – one of several to be staged during the two-day event – will be hosted by Gary Dolphin, the current radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa Football FanFest is the annual opportunity fans of the Hawkeyes to interact with current football student-atheltes and coaches. The event also provides participants with a unique opportunity to gain detailed insight into one of the nation’s most respected college football programs.

Participants in this year’s event will also tour the new Paul W. Brechler Press Box at historic Kinnick Stadium and will have the option of purchasing tickets to the Iowa men’s basketball team’s “Seniors Day” game against Illinois.
