GREENVILLE, SC – The Iowa men’s golf team is in 10th place after playing the first 18 holes of the Furman Intercollegiate Friday. The Hawkeyes posted a team score of 299 in the first round, while Elon University is holding on to first place with a score of 287.
Senior Jon Feldick carded a 70 and finished tied for sixth to lead the Hawkeyes through the first round. Juniors Dan Holterhaus and Adam Miller both posted scores of 76 to tie for 55th place. Senior Bennet Hammerberg finished the day tied for 72nd with a score of 77. Junior Scot Glasford posted a first round total of 80 and tied for 99th place.
The Hawkeyes will play the second round of the Furman Intercollegiate Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.
