The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position and includes full University benefits.
The successful candidate will assist in the coaching and administration of a Division I men’s intercollegiate basketball program, recruit as permitted by NCAA rules and perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. Collegiate playing or collegiate coaching experience; demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; superior communication skills, effective organizational, administrative and public relations skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; proficiency in office computer applications.
Preferred qualifications: A minimum of three years men’s basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level; demonstrated success in recruiting diverse populations at the collegiate level.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
