COLUMBUS, OH — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in fifth place after playing 54-holes at the Lady Buckeye Invitational Sunday. In their best finish of the spring, Iowa carded a 937 at the par-72 Ohio State Golf Club. Purdue won the 14-team invitational with a score of 891.
In her best finish of the year, Melanie Boyles came in eighth and posted a 230 (+14). Finishing tied for 21st is Tyrette Metzendorf, who carded a 238 (+22). Karla Murra finished tied for 32nd (241 +25).
Iowa competes next in the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, MI April 27-29.
