IOWA CITY, IA – Lance Tillison, a red-shirt freshman on the University of Iowa football team, has been suspended for two weeks. The announcement came today from Hawkeye Head Coach Kirk Ferentz.
Tillison, a 6-2, 205-pounder from Seffner, FL, was arrested Saturday night and later released by authorities.
Tillison will miss the next two games and will be suspended from all team activities, including practice. He’ll also be expected to perform an unspecified amount of community service.
Tillison has been listed as the number two strong safety and has played in all three of Iowa’s games. He has also been part of Iowa’s special teams. He has one solo tackle to his credit, thus far.
