Hawkeyes In 11th Place After 36 Holes

STATE COLLEGE, PA – After 36 holes at the Lady Northern Invitational, the Hawkeyes are in 11th place, but could quickly find themselves back in the mix on Sunday. The middle of the field is wide open, as only four strokes separate seventh and 11th place.

As a team, the Hawkeyes ended the day with a score of +49 and were once again led by junior Tyrette Metzendorf, who ended the day tied for 11th place (151). Iowa improved their score from the first round to the second, decreasing their stroke total by nine.

The Lady Northern Invitational concludes on Sunday with 18 holes and an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
