IOWA CITY – University of Iowa volleyball Head Coach Sharon Dingman has announced that Angie Mlinar has been hired as the team’s Director of Operations. The announcement came Thursday from Dingman.
“I am very proud to be an Iowa Hawkeye,” Mlinar said. I am thrilled to join Sharon, Chris (Gaskill), and Jason (Allen) to complete the Iowa volleyball staff. I would like to thank Sharon and the administration for giving me this opportunity to work for the University of Iowa and in the Big Ten Conference. Iowa volleyball has a lot to look forward to this season and in the upcoming years. I’m excited for the future of Iowa volleyball.”
Mlinar comes to Iowa after serving as a graduate assistant with volleyball operations at the University of Alabama from 2006-07. “With Angie becoming a Hawkeye, our staff is now complete,” Dingman said. “This is a very exciting hire for us because Angie has experience at the highest level and brings a championship mentality to our program. She has worked with two of the best coaches and programs in the country. Angie exudes enthusiasm, passion and professionalism. She is a tremendous hire for Hawkeye volleyball.”
