IOWA CITY – Remember the breakfast cereal commercial of a few years ago that included the phrase, “Try it. You might like it.”?
The idea was pretty straight-forward: You never know if you will like something if you don’t try it (again, you’ll recall the breakfast cereal commercial ended with one of the two boys at the kitchen table announcing with amazement, “He likes it! Mikey likes it!”).
Well, the first “Online Exclusive” to be offered by the UI Athletics Ticket Office provides fans of the Hawkeyes who want to “Try it” the perfect opportunity to do so while realizing significant savings.
The “Try It, You Might Like It” offer is a ticket to the first home event of the 2008-09 seasons for the UI’s football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams – five different Hawkeye teams, five different events – for just $65, a $32 savings off what you’d pay at the door if you purchased a ticket on the day of the event.
And, if you like it — the football game, the volleyball match, one of the basketball games, or the wrestling dual – you then have the rest of the 2008-09 season in that sport or sports to consider attending another event or two.
