“I liked the way we came out in the second half. It seemed like we were getting some loose balls and more rebounds and then we got the lead but weren’t able to sustain it. I think that when they had to make plays, different guys made plays for them.”
“Iowa made all their shots and came through when they had to. Iowa has been struggling a bit so they got a win and hopefully they can get back on track. I thought they played a nice game. They actually got some very good shots in against us and should have probably beaten us by more because they missed a lot of open looks I thought.”

“I think there are good lessons to be learned from this group. Obviously we’ve got a lot to do yet and this has been a tough stretch for us. This group has persevered and they have great spirit. I’m not going to minimize what our home crowd meant to us. They showed up to support their guys that have played hard and not been rewarded. They gave us the spirit we needed to compete in this game.”
“Devan’s three at the end was huge. They [Northwestern] play a certain way and I am really impressed with them. They just play with such precision.”
“Every trip, Jeff had to make a decision that wasn’t easy. He played 40 minutes. I thought he found guys, gave us some poise and defended well. I’ve been really proud of the way Jeff plays.”
“I really thought Matt Gatens’ defense was good, but he wasn’t the only one. Jake, Cyrus did good jobs. Cyrus was really helping the right amount, and Jarryd did a good job of it. We got tricked a few times, though.”
