Durant and the Hawkeyes play Western Illinois Tonight

As he prepares for a homecoming of sorts, Iowa outfielder Ryan Durant has found a home in the heart of the Hawkeyes batting order.

The junior likely will continue to fill the clean-up spot in coach Jack Dahm’s lineup when the Iowa baseball team faces Western Illinois today at Davenport’s Modern Woodmen Park.

The 6:30 p.m. game is the first between two Division I programs to be played in the Quad-Cities, and something Dahm would like to make an annual part of the Hawkeyes’ schedule.

Durant wouldn’t mind that, either.
